Lentil Soup

As a blogger have you ever been late with posting an article? During the recent holidays I took a break and the text that I had planned to share in 2016 is what you are reading now. This sounds quite a lot of time, doesn’t it?

lentil_soup_sopa_lentilha_iwanttobeacook (9).jpgActually just two weeks ago I prepared a lentil soup because it is considered a luck food to be eaten on New Year’s Eve in countries such as Italy, Hungary and Brazil. Lentils are said to bring fortune and it seems that since ancient times Romans have been eating them because their shape resembles coins and symbolizes wealth and prosperity.

I know that we will not celebrate New Year’s Eve for the next eleven months or so but a good dish is always a good dish which we can eat it any time of the year, don’t you think?
